Hermitage Elementary: 3rd Grade 3-D People

The 3^rd graders covered a water bottle with plaster, adding arms, hair and clothing details as time allowed.  After dry, they used acrylic paint to add the cartoonish details.  Bright colors were encouraged, as was the exaggeration of features.  We looked at  a variety of Grooms’ cities, specifically though, his “Hot Dog Vendor” sculpture, along with his life sized bus complete with passengers for our inspiration.
